Civilization is based on human transaction and is generally hierarchical. There is a leader and other classes of slight importance, which learn to find the leader. As a leader, there are rules that are set to better the people but when rules blend in absent, people tend to be uncivilized and are perceive as being barbaric and savage. In William Goldings lord of the Flies, this loss of civilization is shown throughout the story where the stranded boys wild their allege because of their lack of rules. At archetypal, they respected and followed the rules and laws that were put into range by other boys. As the story developed the rules, laws and the boys palpate of order became much more scarce. By the end of the story, the boys have evolved into savages because the laws, rules and order became non-existent on the island, which furthermore created problems and issues throughout the tribes.
Rules are interpret everywhere there are people. People need to follow and have rules so that order can be present in society. When the boys figure out that they are alone on the island; they right away start making rules. At first the boys respected and followed the rules that they established on the island.



Due to Piggys discovery, the conch shell was used as a sense of order for the boys during assemblies on the beaches. The one who held the conch would have the right to speak. «Whats that? The conch, I got a right to speak… I got the conch! Just you see»(Golding 45). The conch is one of the most important senses of order for the boys on the island. The conch is a very important part of the boys organization and order on the island. As people mustiness follow rules to stay civilized, the boys must respect the conch to perceive themselves as being civilized. This was an order that everyone followed and respected.
