Women have compete an important role in policing, gender integration and the fortune for women to participate in forming police policy was strongly resisted. sight are different in todays society women are considered have-to doe with in the workforce which is what it should be. The early history of police women on the other hand consisted vastly of social ser ill-doing where women had to fill higher standards for police employment; they received lower wages, was restrict to a special unit or bureau, and was assigned direct to clerical, juvenile, guard duty as well as vice work. Minorities similarly played an important role but also underwent discrimination. African American women received a double whammy, champion for their race and ethnicity and second for their gender. Affirmative action is the application of policies that fall factors including race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin into consideration in order to benefit an underrepresented group in areas of employment, education, and business.
