The Sears commercials are somewhat unrealistic and senseless; the humans are completely oblivious to that fact that the zombie is even a zombie. This is the exact opposite of Dawn of the Dead, where everyone is frightened of zombies. The sears ads challenge the teen slasher and zombie genre by acquittance in the opposite direction. Within these ads, the humans are free-hearted to the zombies and treat them as humans. However, the zombies still kill the humans at the end as seen in the video game recapitulation and the undeadbeat roommate video. This is the only similarity to the Dawn of the Dead.
The Honda commercial makes the zombie appear even friendlier; he doesnt even feeler the humans. The zombie has become a part of society and is adapted to do every day social task, such as playing golf. This completely changes the typical ideology of zombies. The zombie has transitioned from insufferable to accepted.
Hondas technique of using zombies is rather good in enhancing their product. It shows that the car is as unique as the people impetuous it are. However, another car company, Toyota, uses a different approach in their ad. They stick to the zombie apocalypse theme and showcase the intensity level of a Corolla. FedEx uses a similar theme as Toyota and highlights their reliability in shipping.
The Starburst ad is clever and humorous. It is the only commercial where the zombie clearly speaks. It gives the zombie a witty personality and places him into society just like in the Honda ad. In this commercial, the zombie is locomote a public bus as any other person would.
