Although psychology has been approximately since the late 1800s, it is still considered a young formal science. The grow of psychology can be traced back to ancient generation of the Greeks, Romans, and even the Egyptians. Even though the Egyptians believed that consciousness lied in the heart, they were aware of the evidence that the brilliance was related to behaviors and actions because of the brain wrongfulness done by the crude weapons used in unrelenting ancient warfare. The Greek philosopher Aristotle believed that the heart controlled the mind as hygienic and that the brain was merely a facilitator for blood in the body. Hippocrates, a Greek philosopher and physician, disagreed with Aristotle believing that because the head was the site of the eyes, ears, nose and tongue, that the brain was the center of intellect and generated all sensations.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, progress in philosophical and psychological studies came to a halt, because the sedate works of knowledge and research were limited to libraries mainly in universities or monasteries related to the Roman Catholic Church.



No elevate progress would be made until Europe emerged from the Dark Ages and progressed into the conversion era during which the printing press was invented and allowed for philosophers works to be printed and distributed to population outside of those monasteries and universities.
