In the 3rd rendering of Booker T. Washingtons 1895 battle of Atlanta Compromise Speech, his main goal was getting the South to joined as one without racism and inequality between whites and blacks. whizz of the major quotes in his speech is, Cast down your pose where you are, and tells his fellow blacks that they must do everything in their agency to make friendships stronger between the whites and develop relationships that will help them progress above. By doing so he believes and says that the whites in return should as well as cast down their buckets by providing and handing over jobs in agriculture, mechanics, commerce, house servant service and in the professions. He states to the whites that they trusted blacks with the jobs of watching their children and the makings of their cities and railroads.
other major point he makes in this speech is that blacks ingest to learn to put brains and skills to their occupations of life instead of just travail to achieve higher standing and success.
In the 2nd reading from W.E.B Dubois Critiques on Booker T. Washington, Dubois believes more so in the position that the black man needs to work on their scotchal status to earn respect and rise above instead of Washingtons idea of growth friendships with the whites before economically advancing. Dubois also disagrees with Washingtons idea of these relationships before economic prosperity because he feels that it is too soon to develop these mean relationships between the whites and the blacks since slavery has been abolished so recently. He only believes that developing a higher standard and economic lifestyle would take into account openings for these friendships because of the sense of closer equality between the races.
