Dwight Lyman Moody is a man that was described as a man with many characteristics such as boundless energy, immanent shrewdness, self confidence and external optimism. Moody was an evangelist on a mission who had a positive effect on people.
Dwight L. Moody was born in Northfield, Massachusetts. Moody’s nonplus died when Moody was four long time old. His mother Betsy was left only when to raise all of her nine children on her own. Moody had an development that was equivalent to the one of a fifth grader. At the eld of seventeen Moody left to Boston to sell shoe at his uncle’s store. While in Boston Moody attended the YMCA and sunshine enlighten classes where he became a Christian at the age of eighteen. That was the beginning to Moody’s evangelistic works that made him into an important figure during the nineteen century.
In 1858 Moody was able to establish a Sunday school at North Market Hall in a run down neighborhood in Chicago.

By 1861 Moody left his church to go out and focus on social and evangelistic work. During his journey he met a Sunday school teacher, Emma C. Revell which later on he married and having leash children together. Moody became the president of the Chicago YMCA for four years and mend his time there he reached out evangelizing all everywhere the city preaching around the city and hosting daily high noon prayer meetings. During the civil war Moody refused fighting but reached out to evangelize the union troops. Dwight L. Moody received a lot of support or financial support from comfortable Christian businessmen.
