Manifest Destiny was the time to increase territorial grounds of the join States, which started from the end of the state of war of 1812 to the beginning of the American Civil War in 1860. Many Americans thought of Manifest Destiny as a generous movement, yet it was, in fact, a corrosive imperialism at the cost of others.
